Why we Pakistani’s need to use Caltrate D3?

It is completely certain and evident that the majority of the population of Pakistan faces a severe calcium and vitamin D deficiency. It is assumed to be because of inadequate sun exposure or that these minerals are being broken down rapidly. However, the actual reasons still remain a mystery and more detailed studies in larger community settings are needed to decipher it. Unlike many Western countries, Pakistan lacks a compulsory VD fortification policy for its public.  Therefore, the people of Pakistan are in a dire need to take charge of monitoring and treating the calcium and vitamin D levels in their bodies.

An effective measure would be regular intake of Caltrate D3. This combination medication is used to prevent or treat low blood calcium levels in people who are unable to acquire enough calcium from their diets. Other than that, Caltrate D3 is beneficial for treating conditions and diseases resulting from a lack of calcium, for example,  bone loss (osteoporosis), weak bones (osteomalacia), reduced activity of the parathyroid gland (hypoparathyroidism), and a certain muscle disease (latent tetany). Moreover, this medicine is widely consumed by certain patients to ensure enough calcium level in their bodies, for example pregnant, nursing, or postmenopausal women, or people taking medications such as phenytoin, phenobarbital, or prednisone.

It is imperative to understand the importance of calcium in the body. It is vital for normal functioning of nerves, cells, muscle, and bones, and if there is insufficient calcium in the blood, then the body obtains calcium from bones, hence weakening them. Vitamin D makes sure that the body retains calcium and phosphorus. Therefore, if you want to build and keep strong bones, then you need to maintain the right amounts of vitamin D, calcium, and phosphorus in your body, and Caltrate D3 would definitely serve the purpose.
